Wood flooring for studio photography

I’m not sure how many of my blog readers remember my first studio years ago at the 100+ year old Monkton Hotel…. it had the beautiful wide plank wood flooring that I missed so very much when I moved studios two more times.  I absolutely ADORE my new studio (http://jodieotte.com/?p=664) but I never did have those original wood floors again….. Well guess what I did this weekend?  I recreated them?  I bought wood planks from our local Home Depot and went to work pulling my knowledge of painting from my art background, and I think I came pretty close to recreating those original floors.  I cannot wait to get them to the studio this week.  I’m working on a couple new indoor sets right now that will be brought into the studio here shortly, so you will definitely get to see some new stuff coming up… very exciting!
