As many of you know, I live in Northern Harford County, Maryland. We are double the elevation of many parts of Harford County and seem to have a completely different weather most of the time. For instance, all that rain on Monday that many of you had? We had 8 inches of snow! It’s still on the ground.
So here I sit on the laptop, a little MiFi, trying to conserve what we have as the power is out of course, with this ice storm. I have a few clients that need their galleries re-activated, and as soon as I can get to regular internet, I can re-upload everything.
The ice is crazy. Woke up this morning to power out, no heat, and horrible horrible sounds of trees cracking and falling. Many of our trees are completely destroyed. Thankfully, none have hit the house or vehicles so far.
Here’s a bit of the view of what is happening…
Our ornamental trees in our front yard are completely ruined. The entire top of this one is gone.
This tree should not be bent like this – it’s bent all the way to the ground.
More bent trees….
A sign of spring, encased in ice….
Just standing outside for a few minutes, you can hear limbs and trees just cracking and falling everywhere. It has been nonstop since early this morning.
This one also should not look like this – it’s cracked and split all around which caused it to fall down like this.
