See, we can start something…. A Photography Revolution?

photography workshopsPhotographers:  Again, as I posted HERE – I’m calling you all to help us… help us get back on track.

I’m starting to see some grumblings become things.  You all know who Lynn Cartia is?  AKA Missy MWAC.  I know, you either love her or hate her.  I agree with a lot of what she does/says but not all, I’ve always had my own brain and make my own decisions and never follow blindly haha…. I can just say – I understand her.  We all know she is about poking fun at the industry – satire…. but there are a lot of truths she speaks through her frustrations.

This.  This is what she wrote on FB this morning.

  • Remember that time when photography was about photographing real people and selling them beautiful photographs?
Remember that time when it wasn’t about being a celebrity or a rockSTAR?
Remember that time when your friends would punch you in the arm hard if you ever made a video all about yourself just so you could show off?
Remember that time when a convention or workshop was about learning?
Remember that time when those who gave the workshops only did so a few times a year ’cause they had to get back to running their REAL businesses?
Remember when it all meant something….Yeah, me, too. Let’s stop remembering and start doing. xoxo

(again, those are not my words, those are Lynn Cartia/Missy MWAC’s words – but I totally agree with her)

She nailed it.  Again, I call out – join your local organizations, help out, speak up  – even start blogging/posting – encourage everyone in the photography industry who values what they do and wants a future in photography, let’s clean up this industry and make it great again!
