Water Droplets | Maryland Commute Project

I need to catch up with a few of my commute project images…. that’s always the way, though… busy busy busy and then time to regroup.

Arms packed with messenger bag, coffee cup, keys, phone, and whatever else I was trying to stuff into my car this morning, I noticed the water droplets on the hood of my Volkswagen.

Speaking of the VW…. best thing I ever did was get rid of the gas hog Expedition and into a smaller vehicle.  I’m not sure what it is about society that thinks we need the biggest and best.  Dean and I have been downsizing life, and it has been great.   It’s strange when you hit a different stage in your life where you no longer have kids but teens, and everyone is going in all directions, and what you thought you needed, you realize you didn’t.  I remember buying the Expedition and thinking – this is wonderful – we can carry everything we need everywhere we need to with the kids.  Umm…. the only thing we needed that monster for was the occasional vacation.  Other than that, it was a complete waste.  Did we really need to be driving around, sitting in a “couch” looking smugly down at others?  haha!!!! 😉

Perspective is very interesting as you age.
