Outdoors at our portrait studio in Baltimore

I actually look forward to seeing the family of this little boy - a little bit of chaos and all (this year, oldest boy showed up in a full leg cast ;)).  When mom first came to me with his oldest brother (cowboy hat boy if you all remember him from years back…), she expected that this was going to be her only child.  A little while later, she was bringing me her second son who was a total miracle/surprise.  WOW!  But I was looking at her thinking…. umm… she kinda looks pregnant again but I’m not going to say anything because I could be wrong… Sure enough, midway through our session, she informed me that she was carrying another baby, another boy!!!  From no kids, to three boys in three years, wow!  The best thing about the mom and dad is if they stress, they don’t show it.  They are so laid back and go with the flow.  So here’s her youngest, now a year old, and he’s just as cute as the other two with the same stunning blue eyes.  He actually was in our first Similac Infant Formula ad as well!

National Commercial Ad Campaign | Similac | Child/Baby Modeling

As many of you know, we shot another national commercial ad campaign for Similac Infant Formula in November of 2009.  We shot several different ads, and the first new ad has been spotted. We had a live casting call for this ad, and I am still receiving emails every day from parents who are looking to get their babies/children into modeling.  I would like to request, if you are reading this, please do not send any more pictures to my email address.  We had requested that no photos be sent even when we had our casting call as it was a live casting only.  I have had hundreds thousands of photos that were sent to my email address.  I do not keep any of these photos on file - we do not have the space for this.   When we have a model casting call, we will post details here on the blog, please keep an eye out for any future opportunities.  In fact, we will be doing another model call here shortly. Getting this overwhelming amount of emails, it made me realize that there are not many options for those in Maryland for modeling for children and what options are there, many do not know about.

If you wish to get your children into modeling, there are two main things to know.

1.  Do not pay for a portfolio for your child.  Children change so quickly, a portfolio is worthless, unless your child is already signed with an agency.  Only then, a portfolio is necessary.  If you wish to contact modeling agencies, a nice snapshot will do.

2.  In Maryland, there are two talent agencies.   One is Taylor Royall http://www.taylorroyall.com and the other is Linda Townsend Management http://www.lindatownsendmgmt.com

At any rate, here is the first of several new Similac ads that we shot in November… If you spot any more, please shoot us an email, and let us know where you have spotted the ad.  :)

MODEL CASTING CALL | Baltimore, Maryland

We are having an open live casting call for all babies between the ages of 3 months and 12 months on Tuesday, November 3rd Monday, November 2nd at the Black Horse Studio in Northern Baltimore County (Monkton), Maryland. Your child may be over the age of 12 months as long as he/she is not at the stage of running ;) Please pass along this information to everyone you know who has a baby between those ages! We will have a morning and evening schedule for the casting that day. If you are a current client, you are also welcome to be a part of this. You must bring your child to the studio at 1900 Monkton Road, Monkton, MD 21111 but please send us an email at jodieotte@verizon.net and let us know your name, a little about your child, and his/her age/birthday ahead of time (please do not include pictures - we will take our own), so we can get a count of how many are planning on attending. We will also give you more information as well as what to expect.   And please do not bring your baby if he/she is sick.  Please let me know if you have a sick child that day and we will make other arrangements if possible.  Thank you!

And because I cannot post without an image - here is one of the images you may recognize from the ad campaign that we shot this past spring.
