Ocracoke Island

I took this on Ocracoke last summer… I felt this image was needed this morning as a "pick me up" for things to come this summer.  My husband woke up blind in one eye this weekend.  It was so sudden.  He was just diagnosed yesterday with cataracts at age 38 - 38???!!!!  I have never heard of someone getting them so young!.  We are a bit shell shocked.  He will be getting surgery absolutely ASAP in the next week or two hopefully.  I needed this image this morning to focus on once we get through this latest trial in our lives, there are good things in store soon….

This blog, I am going to try to update at least every other day.   This is for miscellaneous images I felt I just had to take or things I am working on, maybe a customer image or two, or just plain snapshots of whatever.  There are so many images I see, compose, but don’t always drag out the camera and take them… I want to change that. :)

I’m working on two hard-bound books right now.  One is newborns only and the other is children.  Here are a few of the spreads… I’m hoping to have both 60-page books ready by the end of today.  They will be in the studio in a couple of weeks on display as well as at the Howard Live Show February 24th and 25th.
