Pelicans on Ocracoke Island

I’m impatient, I wanted to share these now.  Right behind the Jolly Roger on Ocracoke Island is my secret little spot to photograph pelicans.  They are always there.  Erynn and I walked up on them and I started shooting.  I absolutely LOVE the detail of pelicans - they are incredible to photograph.  I only spent about 5 minutes shooting, and it was hard to pick the favorites from the batch.

Okay this is my favorite. The pelican’s wings and the ship’s riggings look alike. :)
